Mccalls 5400

I'ts memorial Day..Today is the day that's set aside to remember with gratitude  and pride all those  who served and died for our country and our freedom.

On today's post I want to share with you my d.iy swimwear and cover up.At first was afraid of posting pictures of me in swimwear but I said what the hell..if i go the beach people see me just the same.. So we went to the beach to watch the Air show

.My first swimwear  Mccalls 5400 it's a lined, halter tops have separate pattern piece different cup sizes. Below waist bottom and high cut legs.so I cut a size 16, which was way too big I did view E and H.I added four inches to the top and drop the legs one inch  down so it wasnt too high..  The cover up was super easy . I cut a size 16 also but i didnt have the sew in interfacing so i added a piece of lace to it.I definitely learn a few lessons  along the way use the required  swimwear fabric,the fabrics I use was some leftover 2 way stretch fabric that roll alotIt was a easy sew..I will be definitely making these again.

Black and white..Vogue9238

Happy Wednesday everyone, I hope your having a wonderful week so far?As for me I'm beaming with joy the summer is almost here..yea!!so I can get to wear a lot of my d.i.y's. I should have had this post up from monday but could find anyone to take my pictures or when I do it's raining. Anyways today post is vogue 9238  I did View B.. It's a close fittings dress have front and back shoulder flounce and cold details.

 I cut a size 12 it fit a bit big I could have gone with a size 10.The fabric I got a while back at @fabricdotcom it's a Liverpool knit very nice to sew with. The only problems  I had with this pattern is i got a U..instead of a V. I think i missed a step and my flounce was a bit short so I added a piece of fabric to it, I think its because the pattern called for 2way stretch and my fabric was one way.Lol.I am definitely planning on sewing this pattern again in a solid color.Thanks for stopping by and Happy sewing!😀👉❤

Simplicity 8332

Happy Friday everyone, I hope your week is 

 going great. It's a hot day here in New York 80 degrees so I opt for my yellow gingham  off the shoulder dress I made a month ago .I figure off the shoulder is still part of the trend.I hope it will keep me cool. I made the dress using simplicity 8332  as my base..view C.The pattern has five different view which are easy to sew that can be sew in about2_3 hours.

.I slash and spread the sleeves for a bell sleeves and also add ruffles to the dress.This is the year for gingham I didn't know it would come back in style.I use to wear red gingham  to school for my uniform when I was in basic school (kindergarten)  growing up in Jamaica.The fabric I got at my local fabric store for $1:99 I got two yards.Happy sewing😀

Simplicity 8293

Happy monday everyone, I
hope everyone had a wonderful weekend?I sure did..It was Mother's Day weekend.Happy mother's day to all you wonderful moms.On today's post.I made this simple  sheath dress that I wore to church yesterday It was quick and easy the pattern is #simplicity8293 I got up at 7:30 a.m.on sunday morning  cut out the pattern and was ready for church at 10 a.m. I did view B in a size 14 it only had front, back sleeves and facings. This was an easy sew.The fabric I got at  my local fabric store for $1:99 @yard @Jackson Heights fabric .I wore my favourite Jessica Simpson shoes and some black tights.

New look 6447

Happy monday, I hope everyone has a great Easter, I sure did. I just want to share with  you my Easter dress the pattern I use is New look 6447 the pattern has a full or slim skirt above the knee or knee length.shapes waistband. Back v-neckline and zipper.I did

view C. This pattern is super cute. I wouldn't recommend for begginer because of the lining.. I will definitely make it about I will use a stable knit. I wore it to church with the yellow shoes...just for the pop of color and because it was Easter.but i will definitely wear it with the white next time.

Mccalls 7505

Happy Easter everyone.. I hope everyone is having a happy blessed one.Today I want to share the dress I wear to church for Good Friday it's Mccalls 7507 the  dress is semi fitted through the bust have back zipper, French dart and long trumpet sleeve.I cut a size 10 and I did view B

The fabric  is a liverpool knit I got at @fabricdotcom is super soft and I just love the bold print just in time for spring.

This pattern is super easy.I love the sleeves.About to make one in yellow.Happy sewing😃

Mccall's 7160

Happy monday everyone, today I want to share with you one of my favourite   go to pattern it's mccalls 7160 it's super easy and quick.The Dress has close  fitted bodice cut on the bias.with elastic waist, side pockets and self belt.I cut a size 12 and view D.The only changes I made was I didn't had the elastic waist and I leave out the pockets.

 The fabric is a liverpool knit I got at my local fabric store for $1:99 @ yard. You can choose to dress it up with heels or flats.

Black McCall's 6886/m7542 sleeves

Happy Monday everyone, today is just a quick blog on one of my favorite pattern m6886 and m7542..one word for the sleeves..Love..I tell you how quick m 6886 is I think I have make them about 6 times now..could be more.Lol.I use the sleeves of m7542 view B..

I use some black knit fabric that I found  at my local fabric store for $1:99  @ yard.I really love how the dress came out.

Vouge 8888

Happy Friday everyone, Today I want to share with you my red and black Valentine's lingerie.I use vouge#8888 I cut a size 16 using view C &f.The pattern was fairly easy for my  first time.The camisole is cut on the bias with shoulder straps.the upper  back has elastic.The panty is also cut on the bias and have elastic waist.The pattern call for lace on the yoke and the bodice but I didn't have any so I use some scallop lace I had and make some scallop cut out.

It's a great pattern to try you can make it your own..I will be definitely making  it again.No more victoria secret for me.Lol. The fabric i use is satin that i got at my local fabric store for #1:99 @ yard and pattern at joann for $4:99 will be searching for some lace for the next one.Happy sewing everyone😀tgif..

New Look 6469

Happy Monday everyone,today I want to share with you  another quick and easy dress New look #6469.This trapeze dress is easy it has four pieces which  I didn't  do any alteration,I sew it straight from the envelope,  I cut veiw A, size 12 which fit a  big I could have gone with a size 10

The fabric  is a ponte knit I bought at Walmart for $5:49 @ yard.I really  like how the dress fit I wore it to  church yesterday.

This dress is great for beginners.I will definitely be making this dress again..Happy sewing 😀

D.i.y.black dress

Happy Saturday everyone,today I want to share with you my first  drape dress that I wore last night to a fundraiser..I drape the dress on my collapsible mannequin I got for Christmas yeah me..hopefully a lot of drape dresses in the future.The dress code was black.The fabric is a die cut fabric I got at joann's fabric at $14.99a yard and I use my 40%off coupon.

At first glance I feel in love with the Fabric...but the fabric keeps stick to itself, at time it feel like it had magnet..you have to keep pull.but overall I really like the dress not so much the fabric.Happy sewing😀
