My Fall Cardigan using McCall's 6996
Happy Monday Everyone, I made this quick and easy cardigan using McCall's 6996, view A, I like how quick it was I just finishing cutting another, it is also a great wardrobe builder. The fabric I use was kind of a neoprene with insulation, I found at my local fabric store for $3 a yard. The only change I would make to this pattern is to cut the sleeves one size smaller. My First Coat made with Vogue 8933
Happy Tuesday Everyone, I'm super excited made my first Coat using Vogue 8933, view B..it was easy. The problems I have was that the sleeves fit a bit tight, I cut a size 14 but I would definitely go up a size. (2) The fabric was wool blend, next time I will definitely use pure wool (3) stiffer interfacing was needed for the coat otherwise I really love the way it turn out and will be making a shorter version next time. I recommend this for anyone who wants to try making coats to give it a try...Happy Sewing!!!
